ABOUT THE CHALLENGE
Inland Revenue is looking to build better solutions for its small business customers.
Inland Revenue, in collaboration with Creative HQ, is calling on New Zealand's entrepreneurs, designers, software developers, creative businesses and others for mobile app ideas.
The App4IR Challenge invites you to come up with a mobile app that will simplify transactions and services between Inland Revenue and its small business customers.
The App4IR Challenge is open to all individuals, teams, businesses and organisations in New Zealand.
The Challenge winner receives $10,000 for Inland Revenue's right to use their concept and the chance to collaborate with Inland Revenue on the app's build.*
More than 420,000 small businesses deal regularly with Inland Revenue on company tax, GST, PAYE, and other matters.
The App4IR Challenge seeks app-based ideas that could:
- make interactions with Inland Revenue easier
- make information sharing work better for them;
- use public data to improve IR services for them; or
- solve any difficulty for small businesses in dealing with Inland Revenue.
Your Challenge is to identify an innovative solution that helps small businesses interact with Inland Revenue.
You'll need to register to take part in the Challenge. You'll receive a Competition Pack and an entry form for submitting your App4IR proposal.
We'll assess App4IR submissions on their innovation, usability, visual appeal and benefit to small businesses.
We'll choose the best app ideas for presentation to a panel of judges.
On 28 April 2014 in Wellington, Challenge finalists will pitch their App4IR ideas to the judging panel.
The judges will ask questions and provide live feedback afterwards.
